The Coordination Unit for the reception of Ukrainian citizens in San Marino, established at the Department of Foreign Affairs, informs that, to date, 300 Ukrainian refugees fleeing from war have been received. Therefore, the maximum number of refugees allowed by the current regulations has been reached.
It will therefore be necessary to wait for the possible 5% increase on a monthly basis, starting from 15 April.
It is also noted that, in March, the contributions provided for each SMAC Card holder will be paid every Monday following the issuance of the residence permit and in proportion to the days in which the Ukrainian citizen has actually stayed in the territory; starting from April, the monthly total will be paid every 1st working day of the month.
In order to ensure a proper management of the reception services, those who have been received in the territory and intend to leave are invited to promptly inform the Foreigners' Office of the Gendarmerie for the subsequent withdrawal of their residence permit (tel. 0549-888099).
A Ukrainian language interpretation service will be available on Mondays (8.30-10.00) and Thursdays (16.00-18.00) to help Ukrainian citizens in the territory.
